In Q2 2024, theme park enthusiasts continued to engage with their favorite park's applications on iOS devices. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
My Disney Experience saw an impressive peak in revenue during early May, reaching approximately $1.3M. Downloads remained fairly consistent throughout the quarter, averaging around 300K per week, while weekly active users saw a high of nearly 500K in late April.
Despite not generating revenue, the Universal Orlando Resort app maintained a steady stream of downloads, peaking at over 330K in early May. Weekly active users reached their highest at 746K in mid-May, demonstrating a strong user base.
Disneyland® Paris also reported no revenue, but downloads and active users showed activity with downloads hovering around 100K to 130K and weekly active users peaking at 477K at the end of April.
The Disneyland® app had modest revenue figures, with a notable spike to $19K in late April. Downloads saw a quarter high of 166K in the same period, and weekly active users reached a peak of 440K, also in late April.
Lastly, the Universal Studios Hollywood™ app, while not generating revenue, saw its downloads peak at 136K in mid-May. Weekly active users had the highest count of 442K in the same month, indicating a strong engagement from users.
